Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does it take to build a tiny home?

A: From the start of the build, it takes approximately 3 months.

Q: Can you build the shell and homeowners finish the rest?

A: In order to get CSA certification, each home is inspected during the build and upon completion. All products and trades must be approved by CSA, as well as made in a certified, inspected shop.

Q: Do you sell/build homes without wheels?

A: Currently not, however, our homes have been designed so that they can be removed from the trailer by a moving professional.

Q: Do you provide rent-to-own or leasing?

A: We work with a financial broker who helps secure loans or mortgages. Please see the link on the financing tab.

Q: What is the process for purchasing a home?

A: We require a $4000.00 non-refundable deposit to secure your build time and begin the planning process. When the trailer is ordered, we require a third of the build cost, then half way through another third, and the remainder upon completion.

Q: Where can I park my tiny home?

A: That depends on how you want it certified. An RV can be parked in any campground. A certified mobile home will have a more fixed address and can be placed on private property (contact your municipality for zoning regulations on mobile homes).

Q: Can you build a plan I supply?

A: We would be happy to modify one of our floorpans to closely replicate what your plan looks like, however there will be planning costs added. We will do our best to get as close as we can, while still following all of the standards and regulations required.

Q: What is required for hooking up at the placement site?

A: You will need to have a solid, level surface to park the home. A 50A electrical service. And you’ll need a fresh water source, and potentially a holding tank for disposing grey water and sewer depending on how “off grid” you have made your home. We suggest you research the zoning laws in the municipality you’re going to place the home in.
